I felt like I needed time (and maybe much more) to fully comprehend the utter chaos that happened last night.
Perhaps you would like to hear how my night went?
I peruse Reddit when I lay down for bed. My job sends me home around 11:30 so I go to bed as soon as I get inside.
The first thing I see is a tweet from Heyman.
Wait. Same guy who called “Arson Judge” to the Giants? What’s this now?
Then the fantastic Susan Slusser’s tweet confirmed it.
HOW? What could have been so bad that the Giants backed out? Was it the back? Something worse?
If you’ve read anything of mine, you know I like to attack things with reason and patience. The immediate reaction on Reddit was neither of those things.
“Sell the team.”
”Not going to a single game.”
“Not a single penny spent on this team at all this year.”
Naturally, the reaction came in as today rolled on, and as the story unraveled.
The Giants have egg on their face and the Mets look like heroes in the Big Apple. Investing over 800 Million in contracts just this offseason, It’s obvious what owner Steve Cohen has in mind for the team, spend to compete.
What’s the Giants owner’s message? He donated money this offseason to Herschel Walker’s Senate bid.
3 times.
I’m not one to tell others what to do with their money. I believe in individual financial freedom, but someone should remind Mr. Charles Johnson that he does, in fact, own a baseball team that wants to compete.
So many questions still circled the minds of many Giants fans. The anger is reasonably justified. What will the team have to say?
Uhhhhh……….
GUYS….
YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME.
Wet Feet. That’s how it reads.
The Giants offered massive money, something I mentioned in my previous article about the team losing out on Judge.
They NEVER offer big money to free agents. They did this time and the fans were happy. They we’re unsure about their decision and used an ankle injury FROM 2014 ON HIS ANKLE, FROM BEFORE HE WAS A MAJOR LEAGUER as a way to justify backing out.
Correa was DRESSED for the press conference and was just as confused to why it was cancelled. His agent was willing to renegotiate terms.
He didn’t get a call back.
You gotta be kidding me. THIS is how a Major League Franchise acts??
This is a fire--able offense.
You now look like a laughing stock to the entirety of the league and their respective fan bases.

Not after this one. Congrats Farhan and company, you BLEW this one. Someone needs to be fired for this one. I’ll let the FO decide who.
Will I still be a fan? Sure. Will I be blindly supporting our team? Not if you’re going to turn us into the Oakland A’s.
